日前翻看相簿，重温许多我与二弟泰然(1958年生)、三弟泰生(1965年生)和小妹清月(1972年生)逾60年之久的儿时合照，以及祖母和父母的留影，觉得有必要将这些弥足珍贵的照片上载至部落格，以便存照留念。

如今科技发达，过去用胶卷(菲林)拍摄和冲洗出来的照片，以扫描器转换为电子文件，保存在电脑，既可分享，也能收藏更久。

家父年轻时爱好拍照，虽然收入菲薄，却舍得花钱拍下许多我与二弟的童年照片。我显然遗传了他的这项爱好，也拍了自已孩子们大量的儿时照片，而且出外旅游必处处留影，乐此不疲。

I was going through my collection of old photos the other day and reviewed many childhood photos (some in excess of 60 years old) of me and my 2nd younger brother Thomas (born 1958), 3rd and youngest brother Patrick (born 1965) and youngest sister Winnie (born 1972), as well as a few photos of my late Grandma and late Parents. I feel the need to post these precious photos into my blog to share and keep for eternity.

Thanks to modern technology that hard copies of photos previously taken with film cameras can now be scanned, saved as document files and stored in computers. The digital photos can be readily shared and preserved.

My late father must be very enthusiastic in photography when he was young, for in spite of his low income he was willing to spend money in taking many childhood photos of me and my younger brother when we were small. I have undoubtedly inherited this passion of his because I too took a lot of childhood photos of my children, and love taking photos wherever I travel on vacation or the like.
