我自开始舞文弄笔以来，平生只写过以下两则新诗:
(一) 发表于1973年吉隆坡循人中学高中第10届毕业特刊的《哦！宇宙啊，我多么仰慕你》;
(二) 刊登于1985年4月1日星洲日报的《伤舞》。
《哦！宇宙啊，我多么仰慕你》(笔名: 爱惜)
1. 我在上个世纪60年代末，时值初中便对宇宙太空充满遐思。当时冷战时期的美苏，展开激烈的太空竞赛，年轻的我，对美国的水星(Mercury) 丶双子星座(Gemini)和阿波罗(Apollo)计划的太空探索和登月壮举，深感兴趣，热衷收集火箭升空丶星际漫游的图片; 我平生最喜欢的一部电影，就是1968年上映的《2001太空漫游记》(2001: A Space Odyssey) 。
2. 我在担任主编的高中毕业特刊里便采用不少火箭与星空的图片。我在诗中赞颂宇宙的深邃玄奥等，实乃由衷之言。
3. 然而，本诗主要表达的是我对当年一位低一年级的学妹的暗中倾慕之情，连笔名也植入她的名字。年少轻狂，回味无穷！ |

4. 记得此稿曾交给学校华文老师审阅，发觉若干文字被修改。但我以主编身份坚持原来的遣词用句，送交刊印。
后记:
2020年某日，我“初恋/暗恋”的学妹通过WhatsApp上传了一则照片背后留言，乃我在1974年(高中毕业后的翌年，当时19岁)所写和寄给她的。此举令我惊讶不已，既沉思于过去青春岁月的情怀，也十分感动，不解她何故会收存此照/留言长达46年之久呢？………

1. 1984年在青团运八打灵支会举办的一次联欢晚会中，邂逅了一位在当晚有份参与舞蹈表演助兴丶小我一岁却同月同日生的女子，开展一段刻骨铭心丶为期只有短短4个月的恋情。

2. 分手后非常伤心，惆怅多时。当年乐坛流行 Wham! (George Michael) 的 "Careless Whisper"，其淒美的音乐丶旋律和歌词无不触动我心深处，而且意境有点相似，因此借用赋诗，诉说情殤。数月後投给星洲日报，受到青睐，获得刊用。
3. 年少时曾随波逐流，自取 Donald 洋名，故以"唐纳"为笔名。但年长后舍弃洋名不用。
